Anyline SDK v56.0.0 – Improved Consistency & New Integrations Now Live!
We are happy to announce our latest SDK release:
Anyline Mobile SDK v56.0.0 (Android & iOS) has been released.
This major release introduces significant improvements to platform consistency and brings a new generation of cross-platform integrations with the Infinity Plugins.
What’s new?
• Improved Android & iOS consistency
Core scan view behavior is now aligned across both platforms, reducing platform-specific configuration and ensuring a more consistent user experience.
• Updated cropPadding behavior (Breaking Change)
The cropPadding property now behaves consistently across Android and iOS by expanding the scan area outward.
Customers using this setting should review their configurations, especially if using negative values (now unsupported) or custom ScanViewConfigs.
• Improved visual scaling (Breaking Change)
strokeWidth and cornerRadius now use density-independent pixels (dp) on Android, matching iOS behavior.
This ensures better visual consistency across devices, though customers with custom values should verify their UI on high-density screens.
• Introduction of Infinity Plugins (Flutter, React Native, Cordova)
A brand-new integration approach designed to simplify and modernize cross-platform scanning:
• Continuous scanning without restarting sessions
• Seamless scan switching between different use cases
• Enhanced UI customization options
• Native view embedding (Flutter & React Native)
• Configuration-based setup (less code, faster iteration)
• Improved developer experience with better tooling and documentation
• Consistent API across all supported frameworks
• Built-in support for User Corrected Results (UCR)
What this means for you
• Native SDK customers benefit from improved consistency but should review configurations for certain properties before upgrading.
• Cross-platform customers can adopt the new Infinity Plugins for a more flexible and future-ready integration—no immediate migration required for existing implementations.
