Anyline iOS SDK is moving to Swift Package Manager

Anyline is changing how the iOS SDK and its cross-platform wrappers are distributed. Swift Package Manager (SPM) becomes the recommended way to add the Anyline iOS SDK. This post explains what is changing for each integration path and what, if anything, you need to do.

Why this change. Swift Package Manager is the integration method Apple ships with Xcode, and moving to it lets Anyline deliver the iOS SDK reliably without depending on the CocoaPods Trunk service.

Native iOS SDK

• Swift Package Manager is now the recommended integration method. Add the package from https://github.com/Anyline/anyline-ocr-spm-module.git and select the version you want.
• CocoaPods remains available for now. CocoaPods Trunk, the publishing service every CocoaPods package (not just Anyline's) goes through, becomes read-only industry-wide on 2 December 2026 for new publishes. Anyline will announce its own stop date for new CocoaPods releases separately, ahead of that.
• Already-published versions stay installable indefinitely. If you're on CocoaPods today, your build keeps working regardless of when Anyline stops publishing new versions there.
• There's no cutoff forcing an immediate switch, but you can move to Swift Package Manager at any time.

Cordova

• The Cordova plugin now integrates the iOS SDK through Swift Package Manager, which cordova-ios resolves automatically. No CocoaPods setup is required.
• iOS integration now requires cordova-ios 8 or later (iOS 13.0+, Cordova CLI 12.0.0+).

Flutter and React Native

• No change to your integration steps. You continue to install the plugin as before and run pod install on iOS.
• Under the hood, the plugin now bundles the Anyline iOS SDK as an xcframework downloaded during pod install, instead of resolving it from the CocoaPods Trunk.

Timeline

• Now: Swift Package Manager is the recommended path for the native iOS SDK.
• 2 December 2026: CocoaPods Trunk becomes read-only industry-wide for new publishes. This is an upstream date, not an Anyline-specific cutoff, and does not affect existing installs either way.
• A stop date for new Anyline CocoaPods releases will be announced separately, once decided.
